Artwork of the Day #7!!

Joe Tucciarone's rendition of the classic battle of Triceratops horridus and a pack of Tyrannosaurus rex. The battle is similar to Charles R. Knight's painting, but unlike, Knight's painting this one's slightly more accurate (or much?) than that. This painting looks slightly more realistic and accurate. Incorporating modern research, this painting shows Tyrannosaurus rex as social animals and in the correct posture. The Triceratops has been isolated from it's herd and is facing impending doom from the asteroids burning in the horizon marking the end of the Cretaceous period. This is another example of the "K-T Extinction" event (K is used for the Cretaceous so as not to be confused with the Cambrian and Carboniferous periods.)
